Re: Are you ready for Brexit?

I’d love to see @sulaAlice (the Sue in “Sue, you’re shouting at tea”) and @YorkshireTea being interviewed. And it’s interesting that the right didn’t lose it when Magic Grandpa was similarly photographed with the same brand of tea a few years ago. It’s almost as if lefties just like being angry. Any...

Re: A serious and good Wilmott thread could be written consisting entirely of jokes

Today’s news: Italy has swapped sides and is now joining forces with Coronavirus. France has preemptively surrendered, just in case. Meanwhile Ireland and Switzerland have put their fingers in their ears and are going “Lalala...”

Re: How good or bad are the pandemic warning models?

Every country with one exception wants its population to be healthy. That exception is the US for which so much of its economy is linked to having an optimal number of optimally ill people. There are teams of people in the US busily calculating when is the optimal time to release an optimal cure for...

Re: How good or bad are the pandemic warning models?

Unfortunately I know too well how US healthcare “works” (as a customer)! If Coronavirus gets as bad as some people say then the US government is going to have to come up with a more efficient/affordable system than the bloated monstrosity they have now. Unless they are on a Platinum coverage people ...

Re: How good or bad are the pandemic warning models?

So if you are in the US, young and poor then don’t seek treatment?

Is there any Democrat who wants to take US healthcare out of the Middle Ages but without sending the rest of the economy back there?

Re: How good or bad are the pandemic warning models?

What happens if you have coronavirus in the US but don't have insurance (or don't want to use it because of copays etc.)?

Re: Are you ready for Brexit?

You probably won’t be aware of this but tea has got political, yet again. A Tory MP was photographed with some Yorkshire Tea, a particularly delicious brand. The left are now boycotting this brand. (I’m drinking it as fast as I can!)

Re: Are you ready for Brexit?

No, still here. And they were an important reason why people voted leave. I really wonder if Remainers knew what they were voting for. And Babs Streisand hasn’t left the US, even though Trump is Pres. (I assume she said she’d leave, maybe she didn’t. But she usually has these sort of tantrums.) I ad...
