Re: UK and the EU: In or out?

I think it's clear now that the majority of the MPs have no intention of facilitating Brexit in any shape or form, and that they - including Bercow - will use any procedural trick to frustrate it, as long as they can pretend that they didn't mean it. I almost wish they had the courage to simply vote...

It starts to sound like a married couple's argument. I'm outta here.

Re: Universal Approximation theorem

Oh dear.
UAT talks about activation functon
AF used in GD

Ergo
UAT related to GD.
AF is a confounder here.
Another less than useful 1-liner.
I'm sorry. I will follow your example and start composing my posts from multiple 1-liners. Like the one I responded to above.

Re: Universal Approximation theorem

People trying to communicate but not speaking the same language .... This thread is going nowhere. Correct. Too bad, maybe a little bit of good will could help ? For me the topic is good, if I understood it well : "dig in Cybenko Theorem to turn it into a practical tool". This could really help the...

If you're talking about UAT, then what does GD have to do with it?

Re: Universal Approximation theorem

There is a difference between numerical optimisation and statistical learning algorithms, which I think you and Cuch are missing. The goal of the first is, given f(x), find x0 = argmin x f(x). The goal of the latter is given a training set, find model parameters which lead to the expected error rate...

Re: UK and the EU: In or out?

You city folk are so gullible. Still, I prefer them to chimney sweepers.

I would have major worries about Prosecco-drinking plumbers.
What should they drink instead? Beer or something stronger? Some jobs cannot be done sober.

Re: UK and the EU: In or out?

It's not English.
The war is not between the UK and the rest of the world. It's Leavers vs Remainer or lawyers, journalists and academics vs plumbers, electricians, mechanics and farmers. My plumber likes prosecco.
It's clearly a war between England and the rest of the UK.

Re: UK and the EU: In or out?

Look at Hong Kong.
Or France. But, no, I struggle to visualize that in the UK.
In England, only the barons rebel. Which sums up Brexit, in a way.

Re: UK and the EU: In or out?

You mean - a government of ghosts. All proper Conservatives are dead.
AKA as the "no true Tory puts backstop in his Withdrawal Agreement" fallacy.

I don't think anything can change in this country without a revolution. Even major scandals can be swept under the carpet: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-50107320
