And squishy head wants to give Labour members a say as to who our military defends/attacks. Not the general public, only Labour.
We called it "the leading role of the Party" in Communist Poland. The logical next step is to embed party komissars in military units.

Re: Is inequality really rising?

Ireland has the fifth largest number of billionaires in the world, relative to its population. https://www.oxfamireland.org/blog/billionaires-wealth-billion This does not compute. Jim Clarken, Oxfam Ireland Chief Executive, said:  “Sexist economies are fuelling the inequality crisis — enabling a we...

Trump gets a massive political gift from the utterly incompetent Iranians who when allegedly trying to retaliate give out enough warnings to make the attack completely ineffective I understand, but not share, your disappointment that no US personnel has been killed by Iranian missiles. How many dea...

Re: What is Borisism?

I don't think there's much correlation between train punctuality and economic growth!

Would you like to repeat that?
Tell that to the commuters up North; lost pay, jobs, productivity.
Not many trains left up North after the Beeching report cuts, which Johnson wants to partially reverse.

I don't think there's much correlation between train punctuality and economic growth! Which reminds me, I've been complaining about the chase for greater and greater economic growth long before Extinction Rebellion was a gleam in anyone's eye. I think Middle Ages with vaccines, paracetamol and Netf...

Re: Trump -- the last 100 days

On Monday, the President  retweeted a blatantly doctored , fake image of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Chuck Schumer in Middle Eastern garb together in front of an Iranian flag. In the image,  Pelosi is wearing a hijab and Schumer has a turban  on his head with "Democrats 2020" written on the...

Wait, you forgot the $37B donated to his ex -- just kidding, MacKenzie!  :D More seriously, I am glad each of these folks gets to make their own decisions here -- rather than Elizabeth W. or Bernie S. The Gates' make smart decisions and give their money to Malaria No More , as one example. In contr...

Re: Trump -- the last 100 days

That's seriously dumb of them. The only way you can justify legally this attack is by an imminent threat. You don't get to blow foreign government officials into smithereens as "deterrent strategy", unless you're a terrorist state.

Corbyn is dusting off his best suit, the one he wears on his allotment, ready for the call...to Iranian TV.
He doesn't have to, he can use PMQs to promote the interests of his friends from Hezbollah.
