Re: Circular Runways

the next Q is

UK: land/takeoff clockwise
everywhere else: counter-clockwise.
I think you'll find this would be northern hemisphere one way, southern hemisphere the other.
I'd hope they never build one straddling the equator!

Re: Stop the doggists' madness.

I've only eaten dog once. It tasted like lamb. Very nice.
I doubt it was as good as the Halibut I had last night but I'm wary of describing just how good it was given the religious nature of this discussion.

Please, tell the Queen.
You'll have to be more specific - there are quite a few queens on here. My avatar shows two.

Re: Stop the doggists' madness.

I give this 4 stars The pro's: Very extensive initial post, lots of links, even a top 10 list, extensive biblical research, lots of pictures too. Some time good spend here, we are not taking about a quick 10 minutes. The cons: Although it learn towards Amin level it could still be an ordinary Farme...

“If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went.” - Will Rogers. An Archbishop of Canterbury, when asked one day if we will meet our dogs again in Heaven commented 'Well, it wouldn't be much of a Heaven without them'. Churchill had a poodle - named Rufus. Rufus went to...

Too little, too late Remember Deuteronomy 22. But don't form a rock group. which verses? 13-21 22 And there shall in that time be rumours of things going astray, and there will be a great confusion as to where things really are, and nobody will really know where lieth those little things with the s...

Re: Trump - the first 100 days

I know, I too find it chilling that a politician would do actually what he said he would do.   Doesn't trump understand that that's not how the system works? I agree. Trump said he would do all the things he is doing. So it should not be a surprise to anyone. The fact that people are protesting aga...

Re: FCell

My 2 cents.. Looks kind of interesting; asynch stuff, Linq reactive (Observer pattern) and SOA clients. I haven't worked with Excel DNA for a while but I suppose it supports these features? Maybe not an issue, but can it integrate C++? I suppose C++/CLI does the job? // Using subjective adjectives ...

Has anyone tried this Excel/.Net framework - swanky website and all.
I've not seen it before, seems V pricy unless it gives a huge advantage over ExcelDNA etc.

Re: Displaying the forum on half a page makes it un-readable

On my (large) screen the sidebar disappears when I reduce the width to medium screen size and then the avatar container and postbody both expand to full width (12 column) for small screen width. Hence, it's readable. That's how it should work, I guess. On a portrait screen - just try rotating your ...

Re: Does anyone has Bloomberg Optimization algorithm for yield curve construction

While constructing yield curve Bloomberg uses some optimisation algorithm. Does anyone know what that algorithm is? Or to put in another words if I want to program that algorithm myself, what should I do. Probably, you should start with identification of the optimization parameter(s) Bloomberg publ...
