the way I understand goman, he is asking what types of analysis (fundamental, quantitytive etc) a hedgefund would perform.i am sure that for every "analysis" you can find a hedgefund doing/trying it.

didnt MSCI already do this also with zurich financials. believe so - not much of a success there.the question will be if lyxor only takes those funds on their platform. then it might also be an investable index, but not really representative of the "hf industry".
