That was a pretty good read. Not knowing much to begin with, I learnt some things directly, and it also prompted me to look up a few more items.

Agreed. Very interesting. I did not who Wirth was, so was merrily reading it, realised that the person knew a thing or two about computing and hence looked him up. Interesting that he criticised C (and also interesting on further review Ritchie's comments).
