Thanks. I was confused by "odd" - didn't know it was a name of one of the characters.

Nice poem. I have to wait with making friends until the end of my quarantine. Now I have to keep my 1m distance (which seems to be the only regulation here in Oslo - I've seen at most 3 people wearing a mask).

Curiously, both Odd and Even are traditional Norwegian male names. At least in the 50’s and 60’s it was common to give boys combined first names (with or without a hyphen), with the first being one syllable and the second two. Like, Per Erik, Bjørn Tore or, you guessed it, Odd Even. There is of course also Anders. As in “Ich bin — Anders”.

Norway small?? It's yuge.
I suppose if you want to thwart WWIII Oslo is the place to do it.
Sounds like a boring film.. Besides, what are foreign agents doing there?

In the 80s I used to work in CAD. In just one month we sold 100 workstations (0.5 million Dutch florin each) to them oil rigs in the sea.

just standard canal price I think,  91 078  kr per m^2 (+ buyers gov tax)  actually that is not in the new FANCY area, this is budget canal. the new James Bond style canal is about 145 583 per m^2 + 2.5% tax!

490 nye koronasmittede registrert siste døgn
"Det var ved midnatt natt til søndag registrert 24.729 koronasmittede personer her i landet."

Maybe that explains the high rates in the UK and America - they round up every freaction of an infected person to 1. Like with penny shaving. One wants to say, you can't cure these nations.

Korona gjør at unge voksne trener mindre: – Det er alvor
"Nordmenn i alderen 20-40 år trener mindre enn hva de gjorde før koronautbruddet i mars."

unge voksene - young adults
i alderen 20-40 år - of 20-40 years of age

If you missed readng Salinger, you can get another chance in Norway.

This would be a case of literal as opposed to idiomatic translation. Although, admittedly, while I may have started to feel like an adult by 20, I’m pretty sure I no longer felt young at 40. Now, on the other hand...

By the way, apropos your earlier leek discussion with Collector, you’ll find that “forpurre” is a handy word.

I think Polish soldiers would beat the record in the number of countries which raise memorials to them.
