We saved our wee hedgehog last weekend. It had a yuge abcess on the lower belly so we took it to the hedgehog clinic. They remove the puss and all is fine. see the photos.
this after the 'operaton'.

Notice the cataract.

Poor thing, glad all is ok!
More and more hedgehogs getting poisoned here in NL, due to rat poison apparently.

I'm glad to hear the hedgie survived to shuffle about this mortal coil some more.

yes, although those bacteria were life too.
Shouldn't you carefully move the bacteria that lived inside the abcess  to a nice cozy petridish?

Wait, it wasn't Katastrofa that caused the injury was it?? I don't know why, but me thinks she's ain't so fond of hedgies (among a million other things)..
