The British, who colonised and dominated culturally and economically other nations for so long, learn for themselves what it feels like when your nation's elites are closer to a foreign power than to your country.

That's actually a pretty good description of the US-UK relationship. We're the Kleenex.

It’s an excellent product. Shame we can’t get Man Size anymore.

But seriously, don’t think in relative terms, think in absolute. You’ll be much happier if you stop worrying about who is better, cleverer, taller, etc. than you.

Kleenex and the Waitrose brand still have Man Size.

No worries. I use them myself. I came out with it a couple of months ago.

That is so so so funny. Nothing like sticking two fingers up to Nigel Farage when there is nothing he can do.

Most people (apart from Paul W) in London wanted to stay. It won't be long before the UK is cast off as used man-sized kleenex and London will sail off on its own as a city-state. The city state will then rejoin the EU and leave the UK as a squalid wasteland with people fighting over essentials as such as bread and flour as they can't reach them due to them being in containers being detained at Dover.

FYI I sometimes live in London, sometimes in the countryside and sometimes in the US...it gives me a broader perspective than one gets within the Circle Line!

Was “Passport to Pimlico” on the TV over Xmas?!

I just hope the Brexit will take place before Remainers start running naked in the streets biting people. The level of hysteria is dangerously high. People lie that they voted remain not to get ostracised or maybe even hurt. I saw a guy wearing "I voted Remain" T-shirt at work, but "I voted Leave" would be considered a provocation. Social terror.

I do it the other way around. I stay out of London as much as possible, to avoid the naked biting people.

I didn't expect that British people would be so afraid of changes in their lives. After all, it's not a war or a prohibition. (I actually thought that the NY fireworks show symbolised leaving the EU and thus opening ourselves to the whole world. Or at least that's what I wanted to see.)
