Actually ppauper, in the case of Britain, every opinion I've heard is that Britain will get less rain. To be sure, some places will get more, or greater variance, but not us.This flood simply isn't that big. Yes, it's got a lot more media coverage, but it's not like the UK government left thousands of black people to die, like the Christians who run the US did.Britain has for decades had a policy that leads to building on places that flood "only" every 50 years.Guess what ?They're getting flooded.Also, like the USA, Britain squanders billions on helping fatcat farmers, so vastly more is spent on protecting fields than homes.If you look at the area flooded, shit on this scale is a 25/30 year event, not a "worst in the history of the world".We've just been dumb enough to build things where they can get flooded.Note that in Scotland, there has been vastly less damage, even though it often gets much more rainThat is because Scots built above known flood lines, not below them.
