RIP
a very brave man whose death was both a tragedy and a crime
Last November they called on the Swedish Tax Agency to officially declare him dead. The request was made via Sweden's SEB Bank, acting as a trustee.
"He shall be deemed to have died 31 July, 1952," the tax agency said.
It's strange that the tax agency does this, not the courts or some more appropriate government agency (Justice Department?)
I'd be more concerned that children no longer have a father and a wife no longer has a husband (or vice versa) than any tax implications

Norma Miller, Lindy-Hopping ‘Queen of Swing,’ Is Dead at 99
In a sequence widely regarded as the best example of the Lindy Hop on film, four couples in backstage-workers’ get-ups swing out, one after the other, into acrobatic shines at a frenetic tempo. Ms. Miller and Billy Ricker, dancing in chef’s caps like animated rag dolls, execute breathtaking flips, slides, kicks, splits, lifts and lightning moves that seem to defy gravity and human speed limits

Murray Gell-Mann
RIP. I always love the fact that he and Feynman shared an office, and hated each other as Feynman had got a Nobel Prize and Murray had not. That said, he deservedly got one in the end.
