There are people who get paid to write financial commentary. Does getting the Chartered Market Technician designation help?The author of the linked article has it.
There's an old joke about how easy that is to do. You just write down i) the news of the day, ii) what the market did, and then connect them with either "because of" or "in spite of".Then, you spend the rest of the day at the beach.

There is no specific designation to this job I think .I used to work for a strategist running simulations for her. She still appears in lots of news channels giving such commentary in videos.
