New topics excluding off-topic

Is there a way of filtering search.php?search_id=newposts to exclude off topic?

Not that I know of (yet), would be nice indeed.

You can select "Principal Discussion Forums" in the "Search in Forums:" filter but that will give you relevance sorted results instead of just the new posts.

Another option is to go to the main forum page. When you hover the name of a forum you'll see a RSS icon appear, you can use that to grab a feed of the latest posts of that forum.

Assuming this is phpBB and remember having this issue in another forum 10ish years ago where we had to copy search.php or add parameters to the function it seems like it still isn't standard: https://github.com/phpbb/phpbb/blob/3.1 ... h.php#L439

Thanks Hansi. Yes this is phpBB3 but with a non-standard search backend. It will need some investigation and right now we have tons of important/urgent things. I'll put it on our todo list for later.
