Are you ready for Brexit?

January 9th, 2019, 3:20 pm

I’ve spent half a day clearing out a larder. I shall be filling it with baked beans and candles. I think Brexit could be very romantic, and bring people together.

Add short wave radio so you can communicate with the outside world.

Good idea, if it helps Sandra Bullock find her way...

Not to mention Jodie Foster. Now it’s getting really interesting!

But baked beans?

I’d think a steady supply of tea and lots of preserves.

And some of your famous artisanal cheese. Experimental batches too!

I've got a 1000 litres supply of heating oil since July 2018. Ready.
A bit like opening scene of Dritte Man.

People worry too much. Don't be so gloomy After all it's not that awful

I predict there will be a spike in births around Christmas 2019.

Some mundane consequences, maybe.

What about art and music?

In the US, there is a trend in “New Oldies” now - sounds like 50s and early 60s music and some songs are remakes, but some really are new.

This is particularly strong in the Latino/a communities in California, which have always had strong affiliation with that genre.

Interesting reaction to the political climate here.

Think Delfonics, Stylistics, Platters, Smokey Robinson, and more.

So for the UK, where will the music go?

If she likes baked beans then she's welcome.

No guns, but I do have a banjo.

You’d think there’d be a service that could deliver 1, 2, 3,... months supply of cans, long-life milk etc. “Apocalypse HERE and NOW”

How many strings?
And a ukulele.

When I was younger I learned to play Hawaiian guitar.
