Of course! I went to Kon Tiki, Fram, Folkemuseum, ... I only was afraid to go to the craft beer tasting trip, or wasn't I...
And I actually was in Drøbak!
Did you go to a karaoke bar with the Collector and sing Smells Like Teen Spirit?
No way! You did? :D (I hate Nirvana, but with Collector I would do this!)

The wife sang. I stood next to her spinning the microphone about to avoid singing. The compere didn't like that. I would not recommend it as a karaoke song!

I think "Come as you are" may be a bit more manageable, but I'm not a karaoke connoisseur.

If I’d had a chance to think ahead I might have gone with a Peter Sellers/Olivier/Hard Day’s Night/Richard III interpretation of Teen Spirit.

If I ever land in Guantanamo, I will admit blowing up anything they want if only they threaten with playing Nirvana to me. I'm not joking. The dude's sweater gives me a rash.

Good to know. But I guess this a sweater problem. Grungy sweaters were pretty much rash-causing from the beginning.

For what it's worth, I don't really do sweaters. I'm a shorts and T-shirt kind of guy. Of course, some times the weather conspires against me...

Oslo is known as "the capital of one night stands". For the record, that's not why I regularly go there :-) (Work.)

Maybe JRM will bring back long division calculating in LSD. I miss the 50s.

That's because one night lasts for about six months.

I googled this and must admit, could not find much supporting evidence for a while. I found Sydney, Pattaya, Atlanta, Las Vegas, San Francisco, and San Antonio (!?). But then I finally tracked down the source at nettavisen.no. Which had a further reference to the customary weekend binge drinking thing (helgefylla), and that resonated with me.

"Helgefylla" sounds much better than "binge drinking", I have to say.
