workers of the world unite!
“Democratic socialist” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has been fined by the State of New York for failing to carry workers’ compensation insurance for a month during her congressional campaign last year.

from The New York Daily News on Thursday:
The employer did not have the required workers’ compensation coverage from March 31, 2018, to April 30, 2018, and was issued a final penalty of $1,500, which was paid,” state Workers Compensation Board spokeswoman Melissa Stewart said. “This coverage is vital to ensuring workers are protected for on-the-job injuries.
workers have rights! (unless they work for sandy)

Looks like an administrative oversight. Embarassing.

Not sure what point youtube are making. Are they saying Farrakhan is offensive?

"Inappropriate or offensive to some audiences" is pretty broad. I know for a fact that it would include any and all videos including Trump.

Increasingly, there is one-sided censorship on the web, with conservatives banned, shadow-banned, deplatfprmed, demonetized, etc etc etc

What specifically is offensive or inappropriate about those clips of congresswoman maxine waters in the company of minister farrakhan?
It can't be Farrakhan  because he is allowed to tweet and post videos of his sermons.
Similarly, congresswoman waters is allowed to post and tweet, so it can't be her.

the "democratic socialists" are fighting amongst themselves.
Sandy Ocasio wants to tax the rich at 70%

The others don't think that's enough. In an interview, Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., said, “There are a few things that we can do. One of them, is that we can increase the taxes that people are paying who are the extremely wealthy in our communities. So, 70 percent, 80 percent, we’ve had it as high as 90 percent. So, that’s a place we can start. The one percent must pay their fair share."

Oh, and Elizabeth Warren wants a wealth tax, which has been slammed by moderate democrat Howard Schultz (the Starbucks guy), who is likely to run as an independent in 2920 because the democratic party has become too extreme, “However, when I see Elizabeth Warren come out with a ridiculous plan of taxing wealthy people a surtax of 2 percent because it makes a good headline or sends out a tweet when she knows for a fact that's not something that’s ever gonna be passed, this is what's wrong. You can’t just attack these things in a punitive way by punishing people.”

You are just drooling all over yourself thinking about Schultz running as a spoiler, conceivably allowing Trump a second term. He is probably not as mentally unstable as Trump, but otherwise not much more qualified.

I think it's a shame that moderates like Howard Schultz and Michael Bloomberg seemingly have no place in today's democratic party.

Your concern for the Democratic Party is downright touching. With the Republican Party having been replaced by a Trump personality cult, one should expect the entire US political system to be under a lot of strain. Not entirely unlike that of the UK, for superficially different reasons.

Pelosi ceremoniously signs bill to make animal cruelty a federal crime with unanimous support from Congress
"Passing this legislation is a major victory in the effort to stop animal cruelty and make our communities safer," he said. "Evidence shows that the deranged individuals who harm animals often move on to committing acts of violence against people. It is appropriate that the federal government have strong animal cruelty laws and penalties."
