Re: RIP thread

Whose death would break any remaining link with your childhood? (Question only applies to us oldies!)

I’m thinking William Shatner. Probably partly because he’s obviously still alive. As opposed to others who might be alive but I’d assumed they weren’t.

Re: Biden and Harris - the first 100 days

@bearish " at most a couple of GOP senators will vote for that regardless of evidence presented," as opposed to Dems who would vote before any evidence is presented! I am keen to see who will vote against party lines. Personally I think the evidence (that I've seen) is weak, so it's the Dems I'll be...

I’m sure it’s all very important. That’s not the point.

Re: Biden and Harris - the first 100 days

I can’t see a week making that much difference to climate change! But as they say, a week is a long time in politics, gotta keep those divisions going! Otherwise people might start being nice to each other!

Re: Biden and Harris - the first 100 days

Very fast. And very symbolic. Symbolic of not really wanting to bring America together again.

Re: Biden and Harris - the first 100 days

I don't think his glee was palpable exactly. He had a Royal Flush, he knew he was going to win. It's still nice. But he knew he was going to win the moment he was dealt it, not when the other hands were revealed. Not my best analogy. But it's fascinating what other people see in internet posts. I se...

Re: Trump -- the last 100 days

Close the schools in celebration. (Has the side benefit of keeping troublemakers at home looking after their six-fingered children.)

(JK, Trumpians that I know are very nice, with nice children.)

Re: trackstar's Needle Exchange

That sounds good.  Funny little story: last month I got a bit experimental and started taking 10,000 IUs of D-3 a day. Plus a bunch of other stuff, including B6. ”Such stuff as dreams are made on.” “And our little life is rounded with a sleep.” Yes, that was a strange couple of weeks last month, do...

Re: trackstar's Needle Exchange

I don’t do bosons, but I recently doubled my vitamin D-3 dosage to 2,000 IUs per day. Collector would approve! Kat probably not so much. That sounds good.  Funny little story: last month I got a bit experimental and started taking 10,000 IUs of D-3 a day. Plus a bunch of other stuff, including B6. ...
