Re: UK and the EU: In or out?

As the EU kept telling us, "nothing is agreed until everything is agreed". The divorce bill was part of the deal. If there's no deal, there's no deal. If the EU wants to see its billions, it has to agree to a deal with us. Simples!

Re: Brexit - the last 50 days

The best tradesmen in East London are locals who ran their business for many years, not fly-by-night, here-today-gone-tomorrow operators.

Re: UK and the EU: In or out?

It works for the French because they are lazy. Brits aren’t good with leisure time, we’d turn to drink and fighting.

Re: UK and the EU: In or out?

Of course we can’t do anything in the next 30 days. The French don’t get back from their holidays until October...2023.
The Summer Shutdown is a glorious thing. I wish we had something like that in the UK.

Re: UK and the EU: In or out?

Macron, the defender of Irish peace UK telling Ireland that the solution to British problems is Ireland forming a customs union with the UK is a bit like Germany telling Poland that the solution to the Russian gas pipeline problems is running an extraterritorial corridor from Berlin to Kaliningrad.

Re: UK and the EU: In or out?

You should ignore anything that contains the words “democratic” and “Junker” in the same universe, let alone the same paragraph!
I always found Junker to be quite retiring, he has a swagger about him.
Many drunks swagger.

Re: UK and the EU: In or out?

Some were invited " The  Whig  majority in Parliament passed the Act with the support of both Houses of Parliament, despite some opposition concerning a "conflux of aliens that would be invited over". A counter-argument is presented in the preamble of the Act, that "the increase of people is a mean...

Re: Python tricks

I once worked with a guy who was getting red in the face whenever someone modified anything touching his code, or even asked questions about it. Later it turned out that he copy&pasted code stolen from his previous employer into our codebase. He was kindly asked to submit his resignation. Now he's a...
