The thing about modern use of torture in "our" civilisation is that it's applied very selectively, with a clear racial bias. We have heard about multiple cases of non-white people being tortured by Western security agencies or their proxies. Can you name a single instance of such treatment...

I'm not just talking about trade; there is the human rights issue and I would trust EU court than any Irish, Dutch or British court.  But those convictions were quashed by *English* courts ;-) Not by the ECJ :) England has one of the oldest traditions of rule of law on Earth. No need for "adul...
