Re: Simulating portfolios

This is very interesting things. So please do go on. I might be misunderstanding, but isn't rare events like volatility clustering and crashes usually portrayed by jump processes? I do really like the idea of using empirical distributions to portray both. But I worry that trying to justify the use of...

Re: Simulating portfolios

Alan and Katastrofa, those are both really good advice. It's starting to seem to me, like my boss wants something he can also understand. So ARMA might be the upper limit, as to how advanced it can be. I think the procedure described by Alan could be easy to explain and showcase to my boss. Which at...

He wants me to consider possible frameworks for similar simulations o...

You good sirs are still as savage as ever I see. Wonderful to read on a late night.
My comment would probably be, until general intelligence is received (in either Humans or computers) I agree with Paul.
People will experience braindrain over time.

Sorry to disappear and reappear. But I need good advice from the wonderful advisors here

Hi guys. Sorry for disappear and reappear all the time. I've been contacted by somebody trying to hire me for a graduate position at Jane street. I was mostly minding my own business, school and such(hence the disappearance).  My question is rather simple actually, Jane street worth it? Do I give it...

Re: What is Borisism?

How did the UK ever manage to get him into the office? It's a pretty shady and immoral statement.
It's like saying "I'll sell you all as fodder to the sharks for a dime"

Indeed. I was trying to update previous post, as I was expecting everyone to be asleep by now.
I'm also getting information in from other sources about psychological effects, economic effects, work-wise effects and design-thinking effects.

Re: The ComfortaBleD Corner

Hiya Trackstar. 1. I haven't entirely been able to find anything on addiction to stress specifically. Though I've known for quite a while that people are "addicted" to achieving and moving towards their goals. The addiction to achieving is quite a common one in my experience, it might even...
