MSFE in HK ?

Not much happening on fianancial engineering in Singapore for three reasons: 1)No liquidity in the markets to participate in. 2)Investment banks in Asia is still in retrenching mode. 3)Two local universities, NUS and NTU produce about 80 grads a year, no market for them.

Is it worth it? (semi-urgent)

I had dinners with at least 4 MW before. Yes, they are knowledgeable about wines but if you sneak in a good "cheap" bottle among good wines, they can't tell the difference a lot of times. It's so called expectation/perception overwheming reality.....

Is it worth it? (semi-urgent)

I will be in the program next month. I guess if it does not work out, I can always flip burgers for a change. Even better, maybe I'll become a sommelier since I can taste the differences (most of the time) among carbernet sauvignon, merlot, carbernet franc, shiraz, and pinot noir.

<t>The best one out of the lot seems to be Cornell. I did look into these four programs when I was looking for a school, at the end I figure I'll only consider CMU and Bekerley with Cornell as a potential back up (anyway I am always fond of Cornell because I have worked with so many impressive MBA g...

MSCF Phd vs FRM CFA

The course work is broad and general (a good PM should have broad knowlege anyway), probably not as intensive and specialized as a ...
