IKOS?

among the best out here - however the brighton issue is a big one - not 100% sure but I would expect they get away with paying a little less salry wise down there - the guy who heads research is very good though.

Question for recruiters

no - we spoke to the people first - just didn't tell them which bank was hiring. Not an ideal state of affairs though.

Question for recruiters

<t>This is generally done by people who are desperate for business - the recruiter/headhunter is trying to use the CV as a hook. It's a fairly dumb way to do business - one of our clients told us he had around 20 calls and the same number of unsolicited CVs on the day one of his sector heads quit- n...

Jobs in UK outside London

systematic funds

Does anyone have any views on systematic funds in Europe - I'm looking at the overall market for a US fund that wants to break in; we're concentrating on Aspect, DPFM, CQS, Ikos, Modal, Bluecrest etc. Can anyone suggest any others that have done particularly well? Both equity and FI.

<t>To follow on from what custard said - If you can handle the culture and also living in Paris, SG is possibly the best place to start out in ED - there are guys leaving SG after 3/4 years and picking up some big guarantees. Hedge funds are good starting points if they are established - however you...

What to whoose between strcturing at CSFB, prop trading at SocGen and summer at RBS
