For sure, the more quant the better. Stress on finance courses, your work exp., your quantitative courseweok at IIT, and your passion for quant finance.. You dont need to stress on any negatives...also make sure you have quant % of more than 90% on GRE/GMAT...

I can tell you for sure that you have an excellent chance at UCB.. dont know about others. In fact, I dont know if you even want to apply anywhere except UCB and maybe CMU.... IIT/IIM combination is a sure shot for most of these schools.

Looks like you have a good idea of what you want to do, but just thought of mentioning: Haas doesnt require GRE/GMAT scores from Ph.Ds...FYI

Sunmaker:Your profile sounds like its perfect for any MFE program. I am curious why you are not considering the MFE program at Haas, when you are in California. Do you need to be in Toronto??

You background seems ideal for Berkeley's MFE program. There are a number of MBAs/PhDs in the course which means you will not have your prior degree and work exp discounted. The program starts in March, however, the pre courses start in Jan.. something to think about!!bests
