<t>Hi Guys,I've recently finished a second internship at CSFB, working within client valuations (Ops). Towards the end, I went for a few meetings, one of which was with an MD, who was head of Global Derivatives IT. After our meeting, he was keen to get me involved after I finish Part III Mathematics...

Part III enough - or should I do a PhD?

<t>Hi guys,I've just graduated from Cambridge with a high 1st in Mathematics. I'm going on to study Part III, and I'm leaning towards the SUSY side of things - but from a mathematical viewpoint, rather than a physics viewpoint. I really enjoy what I do, and have massive interest in the things I lear...

Dilemma - please help!

<t>Thanks JanDash and player.player:To get to the kind of level I feel I need to be at, I don't think brushing over some notes in the evening will be enough. I'll be driving into Canary Wharf, and I don't get back home from work until about 8pm. So by the time I've got in and had some food - the day...

Dilemma - please help!

<t>Hi guys - I was wondering if anyone could offer some advice on the predicament I'm in. Here's the story:1) I'm about to graduate with a Maths Degree and will doing Part III (a bit like a MSc in Maths at Cambridge) next year.2) Last summer I worked at CSFB, and have recently had a call from them t...

Oxford math finance diploma

I'm a bit confused about the exam. Why are the advertising the 2006 admissions test before the admissions take place? Is the exam not to be sat under exam conditions on the day of interview?

Cambridge Maths Graduate - next step to take?

<t>Thanks for the input! I realise that Operations is nowhere near the quant/trading type role - but I figured any experience in the Bank must be a good thing. One question: when you say "strong programming skills", what kind of level do you mean? "Just about knows what a pointer is", or "could re-wr...

Cambridge Maths Graduate - next step to take?

<t>Hi Guys. I'm about to sit the last set of exams for my Mathematics Degree at Cambridge. If all goes well, I should hopefully get a 1st, and I've been accepted to do Part III of the Tripos next year. I'll either be specialising in Quantum Field Theory or Fluids (slow, viscous flow specifically). I...
