Implied vol vs historical on Euro swaps

<t>puzzle,I do not know what Euro swaps are, but there could be a number of reasons this is the case. Hedge Fund Managers Testify in Congress - Nov 13

<t>Disclaimer: I have not worked in the credit space since 2005.Though it may be off topic, why do we even need rating agencies? Why can't we rate debt by the market's perception of its risks? I find it incredibly difficult to believe that any party not involved with the actual investment in credit ...

SIG rep?

SIG is good. I have not worked there, but I interviewed there a while ago and was impressed. I sometimes deeply regret not taking that job.You get to work with sharp, intelligent people, the company is lax in terms of work environment, there are great benefits and you have no clients.

Heat Rate Options

Well, pricing is one challenge, but how about hedging? Forgetting illiquidity for a minute, do you trust the greeks from the margrabe formula? If not, what do you do?

Gas storage Valuation

<t>Hello rafaelvivo,Apologies if my comments are naive or uninformed, as they are probably both. I used to do a bit of valuation of gas storage. Are we at the bottom of the markets? Is there more coming ????

Are you serious RiskCapital? Anyone who says they know is either (1) lying, (2) passing along material, non-public information, or (3) talking their book.
