Is Structured Credit Product a good area to enter now? ABS CDO is down, but what about corporate credit side?

Hi! I'm a layman in European Market. Is Goldman Sachs UK in Europe as good as GS in US? (I mean in the Sales, trading and Strategy role). Dose GS UK keep all the good tradition or atmosphere as GS US? Is it easy to get a job in GS US if you do intern in GS UK? Thanks a lot!
