intern to full time

Rehearse at least 5 times before you stand on the stage. An outstanding presentation ensures you get a full-time position.

phd better prospect??

<t>Thanks a lot for your advice. There are a number of reasons for me to do a PhD. First, I believe I have the ability and interest in doing mathematical research. Second, I wanna do a research-type job either in academia or in industry. A PhD seems a prerequisite for an academic job and a necessity...

phd better prospect??

<t>Actually I get my master degree in Canada, and have a PhD offer in a Canadian school, ranked about 5 in Canada.I expect to finish the phd degree in 3 to 4 years. (Less course requirements than US programs) One advantage of this offer is that my potential supervisor has collaborations with Bank of...

phd better prospect??

I have just finished a quant master degree. I wonder if I should continue to do a phd degree...I have heard that master holders will end up under phd holders in the career path. Is that true? Thanks for any comment in advance.

Where should I take financial math PhD in Canada?

<t>Thanks for your reply. I'd prefer to work in the industry, but my long term plan is to be a prof. Correct me if I'm wrong. I always have the impression that MFE can only do programming jobs and have less career prospect than a phd in the quant field. That's why I consider a phd to broaden my care...

Interview Questions for Market Risk Analyst (UBS in Asian Region)

<t>I wonder even a MFE program does not teach you enough knowledge to qualify for a market risk analyst if the interviewer really asks the quantitative questions in depth. At least I don't see a course in any MFE program would teach GARCH model so deep....QuoteOriginally posted by: smarttraderMany ma...
