another three doors problem

You are right. I reply too fast. B = p(1,3 then potentially 2 when necessary).

another three doors problem

You cannot assume A+2B+2C=1, as there are some other cases missing from your list. It is possible that the player picks 1 or 2 or 3 and win directly. He does not have to do the second choice if his first choice is correct.

another three doors problem

<t>The game host will put prize behind one of the three doors, door 1, 2 or 3. You need to pay 1 dollar to pick a door. If you pick up correct door, you get the prize. Otherwise, the host will tell you the door number you pick up is too high or too low. The host is always honest. With his informatio...

fixed-length rolling window median calculation

Nobody has any suggestion? How about just finding median with fixed rolling window? Can you do so in o(n) time? You can use whatever data structure.

fixed-length rolling window median calculation

<t>Given a data stream, with each incoming data, we want to calculate q% quantile for the previous N data points. Both q and N are fixed. The naive calculation will require o(log(N)). Is it possible to calculate the quantile in o(1) time? I suspect that it is impossible. But I cannot come with a pro...

Wall Street Hiring Freeze ?

I do not think so. I still have three offers from top banks and one from a market maker recently

prop desk package

US dollars. The job is in NYC. The offer is from one of the top Investment banks in US. Another offer is 120K base from another top bank. But the second one is not from prop desk. Does it make sense to take a 20% cut to join a prop desk?

prop desk package

<t>I eventually got a few offers from prop desks of large banks. But their bases are all pretty low. For example, one guy only agrees to pay 100K base + 60K guranteed bonus for this year. They told me that I might receive a bonus around two times or three times of my base if the group is doing well ...

any good recruiter for prop trading jobs

Thanks, Gentinex and Tiberius. I just tried to get a way to open the door for prop trading. Even not a lot of recruiters have access to these positions. Do you know which recruiters focus on these area? I will start from my alumni at this moment.
