Still a market for a masters in quantatative finance?

But I'm not sure that a masters will cut it to get a job - so many quant jobs specify a PhDnot always, sometimes they specify outstanding MFE students.I am asking to myself these questions: if I got a MFE, which types jobs could I have? and a PhD?thanks
