IR arbitrage in comm using options

<t>Well, not really. Ill give you a specific example:F1: 10$F2: 11$Hence, the implied IR is 10%. F1 will expire 31st Dec. F2 exp 28th Feb. I will then have to pay for 10$ which I borrowed for 1% on Dec 31st. At the end of F2 (that I have shortened against the length of F1) I will receive 10% (minus ...

<t>Hi guys,I have a question. Lets assume there are two futures (F1 und F2) with two different maturities. The futures are physically settled. So F1 settles MCH 2013, F2 settles JUN 2013. The curve is in contango. I cannot trade the future directly but can trade options on both futures. At the end o...

Which trading desk?

<t>Sorry, but what kind of s stupid question is that? Do/apply for the desk that you think is the most interesting?! Just chasing the money will bring you nowhere. You can make money everywhere if you are good. To me your question sounds like you consider yourself average but you are now not looking...

Elevate myself out of Utilities

<t>May I ask whether thats a European utility? Then, "or even banks"? Sorry, but the guys at Vitol are much much much bigger and better than the guys as most banks. From a "face value" point of view I would think HFs come in first, then the traders like Vitol, Glencore and so on, then banks, then uti...

Salary/bonus information - Vault.com?

<t>Its so funny to read all that. Maybe I am different. But I traded for a HF, made a lot of money, had a miserable life with weekly meetings scheduled for Sunday afternoon, constant calls from investors, constant presentations to them and stuff like that. I moved to a trading house, have a 10h day,...
