I get your drift, BUTLets say you have contacts in the industry, and you do an MFE from 'middle of f&%cking nowhere' and you get straight into a hedge fund because of these close contacts, then the requirement for brand and all that wonderfull feel good stuff is completely negated. Right?

Of those with an MFE (with undergrad and no PHD), did you manage to progress/start out in a revenue generating role (front office, prop trading or similar)? Or, are these roles reserved for PHD's from Harvard?cheers
