Re: General Election 2019

Several new polls out. Con lead solidifying, for now.

90% chance C majority. With 363 seats. Labour on 210 seats.

Compared with this time in 2017, there is currently now much, much less volatility in polling numbers for Labour and Lib Dem.

Re: General Election 2019

The War of the Luvvies has started. Two open letters, from those for and against anti-semitism. Sorry, I mean Corbyn.

Re: Need Help: Vegetarian Recipes

It’s only the square ones that are the problem. Other American cheeses have come on a long way in the last few years. But why are some called “cheddar”? They haven’t been within several thousand miles of a walk along the beach at Weston-super-Mare.

Re: Need Help: Vegetarian Recipes

For branding purposes veggie burgers should be oval. To contrast with, and avoid mimicking, meat burgers. The square is reserved for American cheese made from recycled plastic.

Re: General Election 2019

I used to know a few but, oddly, twenty years later they are middle aged Russian quants. And, furthermore, many of them were apparently Ukrainian all along.
After one has known them for a few years one doesn’t like to ask.

Re: General Election 2019

Apparently MIx weren't that hot on Johnson and Cummings either, because of their connections with Russian interests.
It's very difficult to go through life without meeting any Russians. Believe me, I've tried.

Re: General Election 2019

My first comment was one I often make in various circumstances, about what is true versus what people think is true. And you are right it won't apply here...Labour aren't that stupid. (Except perhaps Abbott.) Institutionally sociopathic yes, but not stupid. If Agent Cob becomes PM I expect there'll ...

Re: General Election 2019

But MI5 can listen in anyway, nationalised broadband or not.
Ah, but do Labour know this?!

I don’t think the various secret services are fans of Corbyn!

Re: General Election 2019

I think they jumped the shark with "let's nationalise BT Openreach to give people free broadband". I kind of understand why they say they want to nationalise railways (people are dissatisfied with the current state of rail services in the UK, the private companies are seen as rent seekers, the trac...

Re: General Election 2019

Certainly. Thirty plus percent chance.

The question would then be how many of the Labour/LD/SNP MPs will be sensible enough not to vote for any of his malignant Marxist rubbish. Probably enough for yet another non government.
