How to safeguard my research

<t>So, right when I began addressing the important issue of "is the world all a show put on for my benefit", out of the blue comes tagoma to change the subject and then let's all pretend I never put that out there. You've got to do better than that to stifle my indomitable will to exist, powers-that-...

How to safeguard my research

<t>I'm trying to understand where you're coming from - and it's not easy. One thing I thought a few times as a child was "what if it's all a big show put on for my benefit? The people being nice, the people being awful, they're all instructed to do it as part of a master plan to test/educate me. Non...

How to safeguard my research

<t>I find it quite irrational to assume that I would be somehow a crony of the CIA. With such an attitude it will be hard for OP to find and trust people to join his cause. And btw outrun, nice try, but I changed my keyboard recently, for a model I handpicked in a store, from another person's trolle...

Don't know about the rest, but the way you've written it suggests that $r1$ and $r2$ are Gaussians with correlation $\rho$ , which is wrong for the second simulation you're attempting.

Monte Carlo simulation to predict movie success

<t>It's been done before with much finer algorithms such as AWESOM-O.Question: is there a way (like there is for television) the movie industry uses to find out actual demographics of movie-goers? I can imagine (I've seen in movies) they have focus groups BEFORE a given movie's release, that might p...
