Re: x?

(U+2610+\(\mu^2\))x = 0 what is x ? Cuchulainn: Depends https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zero_divisor **  Interesting, but is it also fair to ask about U? If U=  (- 2610-\(\mu^2\)),  then obviously x can be  anything  at all! Correct! Exactement! The real problem is that Collector had not defined .. A...

Sounds like a monologue interior to me.

Has the BBC been cowed into towing the Tory line?

Sure feels like it.

That's so surreal. If my husband had a mistress, they would be both wearing concrete galoshes.
Sounds very Calabrian.

Re: Silly questions

It is BM, indeed. Maybe it is better to try to describe the problem (already discussed "ODE asymptotic .. thread (Aluffi, Gemam et al)) Recall   [$]d \vec{x}_t = -\nabla f(\vec{x_t}) dt +  \sqrt{(2T)} d \vec{W}_t[$] (1) When there is no random fluctuation I can solve constrained optimisation as a gr...

Re: Those crazeeeee Dutch

From your link, as part of the answer to “who should read this book?”:

Those who are convinced that they know exactly what happened in tulipmania (read the fascinating chapter “Exponentials, Vampires, Zombies, and Tulips”).
LOL
If you know exactly, what's the point in reading/buying the book?

Re: Those crazeeeee Dutch

Aaron has written on the tulip bulb mania. I’d trust his research over most other people’s for something like this. Probably in Red Blooded Risk, but I could be wrong on that
You mean this? Show me the tulips.

Re: Trump -- the last 100 days

I think we should just cancel everything and wait for The Rapture.
BTW, the 1991 version with Mimi Rogers and David Duchovny is superb!
Would that be the first or second rapture?
