So far, I know that 4 people are still waiting to hear back from Columbia's MAFN program...I know they are going to make final decisions soon...You just have to wait a bit longer!

Any idea about parttime MFE

Oh ok, good luck then! NYU has one of the best financial mathematics programs around and networking with the program director is absolutely to your advantage when it comes to applying.

Any idea about parttime MFE

<t>Applying late is always to your disadvantage. Don't worry about the verbal part; they don't care too much about it. I'd say for those schools that you mentioned, their spots have already taken by most students. Unless you are absolutely outstanding, you will not be admitted. But again it never hu...

Msc in fin math w/o exp ===>>>> ???

<t>How do you really go about making yourself a good friend with the right MD? (I am assuming you don't know those MDs in the beginning) Do they usually come to the class as a guest speaker and go from there? Massive e-mailing and see who actually responded to you?? I am looking for the best strateg...

Columbia's MAFN program

Hey fishfool,Check your PM. I think the best way to go around that is to e-mail current students from the Statistics department or even contact the program director with such request. Good luck!

<t>That doesn't make any sense. If Citadel is NOT doing well and plan to cut off 10-20% jobs, why are they still hiring this year? Unless they just wanted to get rid of the ones that are under average performance..."But my experience told me your salary is going to be low and they will make you work...

<t>Hey,I am not that evil, am I? Whether you accept the offer from Columbia or not will not make a huge difference on my final decision, i.e. there are many more students that are waiting and if you don't go, that just frees up 1 space, what's the probability of me taking that spot right there?I kne...

<t>Hey skyblue,Congrats! It looks like both are awesome deals. I can't help you on making a decision, but I also want to comment that if you let go of the offer from Citedal, you might never have a chance to work there as well (not just Columbia's MAFN program). In fact, I think you already have the...

Any time, Z. If I were you, the next logical thing is to schedule an appointment with Dan, if you are seriously considering the program. Good luck and let me know where you end up!
