1) No, why do you care if you want to become a PM?2) What are you doing today? Is it something more intesting, go for it.3) Do you have a better job today? Stick around. No? Maybe go for an interview and ask them.4) There basically is no other future then in some way quantitative.

Home Based Quant Job?- Does it exist?

There are some remote consultancy positions I've seen but they are few and far between. Data scientist roles for analytic rather then "traditional" quant roles seem to have more of them.Both generally require a good track record and experience.
