Rush_Breaker - my game for iOS

<t>@ppauper: thanks!@edouard: You're spot on, it is a clone from breakout (Atari 1976) and Arkanoid (Taito 1986). The ball is allowed to rebound the bottom wall in rush_breaker, so that it is difficult to die. I'm thinking of a more polished version 2.0 to be honest, but I'm terribly busy and this i...

Rush_Breaker - my game for iOS

<t>Thanks a lot outrun! Got Corona SDK indie (iOS only) that stands at $199/year plus the Apple dev license for $99/year. Lua was the given language for scripting but it is ok. The main constraint was to keep RAM usage as low as possible... the game eats < 5 MB at its peak and runs smoothly.Nice exe...

Rush_Breaker - my game for iOS

<t>While energy markets are surely interesting, making a game for iPhone/iPod/iPad was great fun. I got to use the Corona SDK engine, lua scripting and public domain art that is CC0 licensed. It took one month and the result is a simple game for children and kids. Check it out! Thanks.Rush_Brekaer t...

Prepare for riots in euro collapse, Foreign Office warns

<t>One way is letting the table explode and this is the way history actually worked until now: boom and bust, prosperity and wars. One other way is to try and optimize the game before bust. Eurozone political integration, BCE becoming lender of last resort, eurobonds (on one side, but mid term develo...

Prepare for riots in euro collapse, Foreign Office warns

It seems Risk! the game. Why not assassinate top conspirators from the anglo-saxon financial hubs then? This is a perfect job for same old Jakob Bhonder and Jacques Bondes.

Expectations: Musings of a science PhD in search of new quant career.

<t>I have a full nuclear background, from my first degree in Italy to postgraduates in the UK, and was also thinking of finance in London one-two years ago. I'm also research-oriented but nearer to 40s than 30s, so probably we feel different here.My humble advice is: find something acting as a hook ...

Actual consequences of a U.S. / Greece bankruptcies?

<t>Make or break for the eurozone, here we go.Italy may call a one-off "national tax" on the huge savings of the residents, say 10% in order to cut 50% of the national debt in one blink of eye, but that would not solve the fundamental problem: mafia, privileges, amoral family system and closed ranks...

People overly aggressive on Wilmott

This website is the best I've found in a while. Such a field is rival to twoplustwo's for poker: smart people, stars, ordinary folks and outsiders in healthy amount.I'm not sure I would ever land one energy job in London but I'm sure I want to come here twice a week and taste the road.
