I thought it would be a quiet weekend, and then it ended up being full of action:

I still remember MIDI music from those games.
My favourite game. I played it before I learnt to write :-)

Meteor and Boulder Dash!

My screen wasn't so "colourful". It was black&green. (My machine was originally a lab computer.)

here is another Retro game programmed by a finance quant, the program has no graphics and only based on sound. The game is called Desert (only sand there, so need to navigate based on sounds).

ØRKEN (DESERT) 1984

the programmer was into binary numbers as can be seen from the code.

even if the game did not have graphics they had nice graphics on the front page of this computer magazine

You're a vegan so you don't count. If you don't eat and fart burrito, you're not a true trader. I don't know who made that game, not I (I would do the pictures in ASCII), but I found a wiki note about Samantha Fox Strip Poker. I remember playing it when I was 4 (I asked for the game of poker and that's what I got - not the worst mix-up by my late grandpa). I also remember some animated chess...

Do you play chess too? Is it particularly popular in Norway?

I think I hijacked the thread. Sorry!

i naturally play chess (but very seldom), many/most know how to play chess, especially popular here after Carlsen showed how easy it is to beat the rest of the world...  the Viking area is coming back! it is inventible.

well, we will see if Carlsen can pull it off also this time...
