On the other hand, Cuch could get himself some state-of-the-art gear. Here's a start in case you're a little budget conscious after the events of the last few weeks.

Technically, ADSL is Asymmetric DSL because the upload bandwidth is less than then download bandwidth. In practice, many "DSL" services are asymmetric. If you don't upload much data (e.g., aren't sending large files out or operating a busy server), then ADSL is fine. If you are uploading/serving data, then you need to pay attention to the upload bandwidth and subscriber terms (which may prohibit operating a server or block certain ports such as 80).
