Depends on the task at hand, the person and how you define quant finance.

hi all. well ... once again i got a loop in my vba code causing excel to block. excel restarted but only part of my code was recovered.beside saving the file ** each time ** before launching a macro, are there simple 'security' measures to respect? maybe adding few lines such as 'after x minutes, whatever, stop working' (anyway how to say that to excel?)

this is boring manually commenting one line after another in Excel is there a way to comment several lines of code at a time?

Yes, there are Comment Block and Uncomment Block commands available in the Excel Visual Basic editor. They are part of the Edit toolbar, make sure that is visible.
