You're welcome, prego. By all means.Normally we do the holograms in software but we have few left over, is this one OK?Seriously:One scenario is to have a QL Lite to give novice C++ programmers (from everywhere) a good 'tour' (allegro, ma non troppo) of how to learn QL and consolidate their C++ skills. You could also use as a benchmark: let's say you want to test 2 implementations of a given model. One klik and run it...// Showing how a const works in QL is more effective than telling how to implement const from scratch.Do you plan to write a "QL Kwik start' guide now the QL book is well under way?

If someone could give some hints on how to use commodity libraries, this would be nice.

It would be nice indeed. I had a few questions myself, but I never heard back from the original contributor. I was younger and less selective; nowadays I would probably reject the patch.

Might make sense to deprecate this next release with a view to removal.

Maybe. I was hoping to salvage it, but it would need a volunteer...

(each level has ~ 20 recepts, each recept ~ 4 pages) Base on format of GOF patterns or some other style?

If we use QL Date class as a key in a std::map<> (with the default comparitor ==) can we get an issue with performance? The == compares the computed serial numbers (by std::advance()).Would a Boost hash function be faster or possible?
