I agree. And Polya's heuristics are good

Gets you thinking in a certain way. From different angles.
You could take a precise mathematical problem and ask the undergrad to apply the heuristics to it.

Yaglom is a nice treatment of solving geometric problems using transformations.
It's a kind of eye-opener.

For what kind of mathematics? Mathematical Finance? You can check out the "Problems and Solutions of Mathematical Finance" series, four-volume.

Mathematics mathematics.
Mathematical Finance is the application of maths to finance, yes? As such, it is methods and not necessarily a test of raw mathematical skills IMO.
Of course, nothing wrong with that, but I don't think that is what Dominic is asking. I could be wrong.

Well, if you want to practice Mathematical Finance problems, I recommend you the four-volume "Problems and Solutions of Mathematical Finance" series. Very good.

There's nothing naughty about Riemann integrals. Believe me. Cauchy integrals are more challenging.
