OK we are doing the first set of revisions now. If you have any, can you post them here or on the book website? No one's got anything major yet, I am relieved to say...

Revisions ? For which book? This thread says lulu.com, under which I believe Interview Questions was published - it's hard to keep track of all your books!

OK the interview question book is now available on amazon.com -- it's the createspace published version.

QuoteOriginally posted by: mjon the second day of availability they have discounted by 22%What does this signal in terms of sales? I can think of at least three possibilities:i) High volume - flying out the door - so can discount to sell even more ii) Low volume (due to market crash) so need to discount to sell any at all iii) It doesn't signal anything, Amazon always do this What do you think the market crash will do for quants?TJ.

My two cents on amazon discounting:My guess is they have some robots that google the web for all sellers of a particular book anddiscount accordingly to be competitive. It's the only way that makes sense.

Since the author gets the same cut regardless, the lesson then is that one should make sure the book is available elsewhere to encourage discounting...

Some other observations:If someone buys your book on createspace, you are given their name and address -- this puts me off buying books there! No one has bought any copies on createspace since we went live on amazon; this is not surprising since the price is lower and the shipping cheaper on amazon for the identical product. They activate the search inside feature on your book on amazon.com without asking you.

I am a little surprised that no copies were sold by CreateSpace, to me it implies that they turn it off when you go on Amazon.

no, you can still buy copies there. But since the only link to that page is from my page and that also links to amazon, why would anyone do so?

I thought those interested in the self publishing game might appreciate an update. We've sold about 650 copies so far. We are selling about 60 a month at the moment with almost all sales on amazon.com. The more you sell on amazon, the more you get cross-referenced from others products via "also bought" and "finally bought" references. So the best plan is probably to go live on amazon as early as possible.

For those who like Word, here's the latest from CreatespaceQuoteUpload a Microsoft Word File: Don't have fully formatted book files? Upload a Microsoft Word document for your interior book file to be automatically converted into a print-ready PDF, ensuring proper trim sizes and margins. Consult our Microsoft Word Submission Guidelines to ensure this tool is a good option for your book.

What's the quality like.
