"can't win, don't try" is the message now?

let's at least give it a try.
ireland and ulster had a different problem, and were trying to stop terrorists rather than waves of mass migration.
Just one terrorist making it across the border into ulster was a disaster.
I don't know what percentage of the illegals the wall will stop. Hopefully 100%, but let's say it's only 50%.  As far as I'm concerned that's still a success: cutting the number of illegals crossing each year from 1 million to 0.5 million is a success.

and it's only part of the solution, along with deportations of existing illegals and strict enforcement at the employer level, making it much harder for illegals to work illegally. Part of the solution is that illegals who are unable to work will self-deport. It happened under Ike

Think of the costs, ppauper., Don't do it. Use the money for the miners with black lung disease now that you have taken their Obamacare away.
BTW reducing the national deficit is not a priority any more, and you was a Reaganite?

It will be great for the economy.

I doubt you understand borders.

They haven't taken their Obamacare away, and I doubt they will. ACA needs an overhaul anyway.

Whither Camp David? President Trump seems to prefer Mar-a-Lago for weekend getaways.

Seems like a way to guarantee more revenues & profits for Trump. Plus, the taxpayers pick-up the $3 million a round-trip cost of the longer flight and added security costs.

Hold yer horses! You can't play golf there at this time of the year.
Camp David is the country retreat of the President of the United States. It is located in wooded hills about 62 miles (100 km) north-northwest of Washington, D.C.,

 • He described it as "very rustic", telling interviewers "You know how long you’d like it? For about 30 minutes".
The silence would be deafening, what?

Have you ever seen the inside of his ugly penthouse? Trump can't survive without his garish opulence. Camp David probably doesn't have enough mirrors for him to check his combover.

 • Oliver's tax refund check motivates the farmers of Hooterville to request their refunds, too. Not understanding that you have to actually pay taxes first, they write in and state their losses for the last ten years. Thanks to a bad ball bearing in the government computer, the locals receive more than $500,000. By the time the IRS shows up to reclaim its money, the Hootervillians have invested their new wealth in Mr. Haney's monkey racing track. To avoid bad press, the government reluctantly becomes a silent partner in the enterprise where small simians chase after a wooden bouncing banana.

Mar-a-Lago was actually intended to be a retreat for US presidents!

Mar-a-Lago is an estate and National Historic Landmark in Palm Beach, Florida, built from 1924 to 1927 by heiress and socialite Marjorie Merriweather Post (edit: as in post raisin bran). Post envisioned the house as a future winter retreat for American presidents and foreign dignitaries, and following her death in 1973 it was bequeathed to the nation. However, successive presidents declined to use the mansion, which was returned to Post's estate in 1980 and in 1985 was purchased by Donald Trump, later 45th President of the United States.

as for Camp David, that was a make-work project during the 1930s: it was built as a camp for federal government agents and their families by the WPA. Construction started in 1935 and was completed in 1938.
