Widely cited study of fake news retracted by researchers
it turns out there was an error in the researchers’ analysis that invalidates their initial conclusion, and the study has been retracted.

if you remember "deflategate" (the patriots supposedly played with underinflated balls and gained an advantage), there have been a couple of stories in the news lately

10-year-old Ace Davis from Lexington, Kentucky, won a science fair by proving that Patriots QB Tom Brady is a cheater

And fifth grader Jayveion Morgan from Tennessee won a science fair by proving that Patriots QB Tom Brady is NOT a cheater

This strikes me as being real news about “fake science”. Or perhaps more to the point, 5th grade “science”.

I use only Facebook and mainly for updates on animal welfare initiatives I support. I don't think I get any political news in my feed.

It takes some effort, but it's often a condition they have to meet to survive (or get more funding).
