So, between a malfunctioning FBI and bad immigrants from south of here (rapists, too!), you've got it covered. The NRA are great people and freely available assault rifles for all have nothing to do with anything, really.

Incidentally, aren't you going to comment on the armed school resource officer who decided it would be safer to stay outside rather than go in and face the gunman? I am sure Trump's armed teachers will be much braver...

Indeed!

Trumps solution to gun the classroom is more guns in the classroom?

Something tells me that more people will be killed by teachers' guns than saved by them.

for those who don't know, the armed school resource officer was Broward County Sheriff's Deputy Scot Peterson, i.e. a cop with a gun.
Student to Stoneman Douglas officer: ‘You could have saved a lot of lives’
senior brandon huff:
“He’s the only one with a gun,” Huff said. “He’s wearing a bullet proof vest, he has all that while school security guards, coaches were running in shielding kids — Coach Feis, Hixon were running in, shielding kids from bullets and losing their lives while he did nothing.”

To be fair to Deputy Peterson, 3 other Broward County Sheriff's Deputies also waited outside the school during the shooting.
When cops from neighboring towns (coral springs and sunrise) showed up and entered the school, those 4 sheriff's deputies still stayed outside.
The cops from those neighboring towns, coral springs and sunrise, were heroes and did exactly what cops are supposed to do.

Coral Springs police upset at some Broward deputies for not entering school
When Coral Springs police officers arrived at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on February 14 in the midst of the school shooting crisis, many officers were surprised to find not only that Broward County Sheriff's Deputy Scot Peterson, the armed school resource officer, had not entered the building, but that three other Broward County Sheriff's deputies were also outside the school and had not entered, Coral Springs sources tell CNN. The deputies had their pistols drawn and were behind their vehicles, the sources said, and not one of them had gone into the school.
With direction from the Broward deputies who were outside, Coral Springs police soon entered the building where the shooter was. New Broward County Sheriff's deputies arrived on the scene, and two of those deputies and an officer from Sunrise, Florida, joined the Coral Springs police as they went into the building.
Some Coral Springs police were stunned and upset that the four original Broward County Sheriff's deputies who were first on the scene did not appear to join them as they entered the school, Coral Springs sources tell CNN. It's unclear whether the shooter was still in the building when they arrived.

from wiki
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broward_C ... ontroversy
During the 2018 school shooting in Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, Broward County Sheriff's Office Deputy Scot Peterson who was a school resource officer (SRO) at the scene of the shooting failed to enter the school to confront the gunman. Instead, he remained outside the building and waited for four minutes while the shooting was going on for six minutes, and thus violated the active shooter situation protocol requiring officers at the scene to immediately engage the attackers rather than wait for backup such as SWAT units.
Additionally, Coral Springs officers who arrived at the scene of the shooting "found another three Broward County Sheriff's deputies cowering behind their vehicles". Not a single officer from the Broward County Sheriff's Department under Chief Scott Israel entered the school during the shooting.

According to bearish, deputy peterson "decided it would be safer to stay outside rather than go in and face the gunman," despite there being a protocol in place requiring "officers at the scene to immediately engage the attackers rather than wait for backup such as SWAT units"
forshame, deputy peterson. Serve and Protect.

Of course, depending somewhat on the tactical situation, a handgun is only marginally more useful than a ballpoint hammer against an opponent armed with an assault rifle, so staying out of harms way was not irrational. Just not very helpful.

Just when you thought that Clippy had gone off to his (their?) final resting place, he (they?) resurfaces on the side of Good which, given Microsoft roots, was not an obvious outcome.

Cadet bone spurs insists that he would have run into the line of fire to save the children of the Parkland shootings. It would be hilariously funny if it weren't so sad. I am sure his NRA buddies are proud of him!

the inaction of the deputies has led many people to wonder if there was a stand down order from above
James Woods tweeted on this,
It will be a real catastrophe if evidence emerges that the four #Broward deputies were told not to engage the killer. There was either a training problem, a communication problem, or a command problem. It’s too easy to call men “cowards.” Something is rotten in this whole deal.

And it seems that Mr Woods may be onto something and the deputies remained outside the school during the carnage bacause of orders from the sheriff's department
Laura Ingraham on Fox:
“Sources are telling us that the deputies who arrived at the scene of the shooting were told not to enter the school unless their body cameras were turned on. Then we found out that the deputies did not have body cameras so they did not enter the building or engage the shooter."

Laura Ingraham also revealed that the Police lost radio communications during the shooting, as also happened during the jihadi attack on Ft. Lauderdale Airport in 2017.
