mueller can give his notes to the commission

From the get-go, this has been an attempt by the swamp to do an end-run around the constitution. The dossier paid for by clinton and the fbi was used to get the FISA warrants to spy on the trump campaign/transition team/admin.
Fuck Flynn and then we fuck Trump
The fourth amendment is there for a reason, and appointing a special counsel is a way to do an end-run around it and go rummaging around looking for a crime.

Amendment IV

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Well, the Russians started it (2016 election interference), and the Trump campaign at least took some meetings. Is that as far as it went with the campaign? If so, fine, then Trump can have a nice rally after the Mueller report. In any event, if the campaign makes it to 2020, I doubt they will be accepting calls from anybody named Natalia.

But wait, why? It worked the first time around.

again, there's no evidence of a crime by team trump.
It would be nice to know exactly what Natalia Veselnitskaya's goal was at that meeting, not least because if you click on her name in your link and go to her wiki page, you find that she met with the co-founder of Fusion GPS both before and after the trump tower meeting.
Also on or around June 9, prior to and following the Trump Tower meeting, Veselnitskaya met with Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn R. Simpson, ostensibly related to hearings that involved their mutual client Denis Katsyv, concerning charges of Russian tax fraud and money laundering originally uncovered by Magnitsky. The Simpson-Veselnitskaya meetings were denied by Veselnitskaya herself but confirmed by Simpson's lawyer. This has led to speculation from Trump allies linking the meetings to Fusion GPS's concurrent work assembling opposition research against then-candidate Trump.

Fusion GPS was the "opposition research" behind the fake "golden showers" dossier put together by a former british intelligence officer (christopher steele) and "elements of russian intelligence", an effort funded by Hillary and DOJ/FBI, with the dossier used to obtain the FISA warrants to spy on team trump.
If you want collusion with the russians (and british), start there, but half the bad actors are working for the mueller investigation

The goal here has always been to open Pandora's Box, to use the probe as an excuse to look into anything and everything in Trump's past in the hope of finding a crime. That's what happened with manafort: they kicked his door down at 4am and went through all his papers to find evidence of wrongdoing completely unconnected to trump and the trump campaign and committed long before the 2016 election. The fourth amendment is supposed to prevent things like that from happening.
Gun-wielding FBI agents busted into Manafort’s home while he was asleep
Or there's the process crime, which is how they "fucked Flynn" (to borrow mccabe's expression). You interrogate Trump for 6, 7, 8  hours and ask him random questions about things that happened long ago. Although there's no underlying crime, you charge him with perjury/obstruction/lying to the FBI if he misspeaks/misremembers, or interprets events differently to you. If Comey's testimony to congress is to be believed, flynn didn't even lie to the FBI, but they charged him with lying anyway
Flynn forced to sell his house to pay his legal bills

Any crimes connected to the campaign seem to have been unearthed by the congressional hearings not by mueller, because half of the bad actors are working for the mueller investigation.
The commission needs to look at who exactly put the fake dossier together (russian intelligence?), whether the DNC "hack" was the russians or, as the evidence suggests, a disgruntled DNC employee walking out the door with a memory stick in his pocket, whether the FBI/DOJ lied to get the FISA warrants, who exactly was Carter Page and was he working for the FBI. And was there as conspiracy within the obama administration to create a false narrative to enable trump to be removed from office.
None of which mueller seems to be interested in.

No, I need the Hollywood version. The one where they combine characters to simplify things (e.g. only one or two people fired, maybe just a single porn star, etc.) And just 105 minutes long.
(But not the Hollywood version where the American with large and very white teeth wins the World War single-handedly.)

The increasingly lengthy diatribes from ppauper serve to illustrate the alternative reality he and his evangelical ilk live in. Edward Luce makes the suggestion in the FT this morning that their near unanimous support for Trump, in addition to eliminating abortion rights, is based on their belief that judgment day and the subsequent events laid out in the book of revelations can only take place after the Jewish temple of Jerusalem has been rebuilt. Trump’s support of the extreme right wing in Israel and his embassy move thus help their cause, and ultimately nothing else matters much. So deflecting, confusing, lying, derailing, etc., etc. become the standard operating procedure.

But then Edward Luce, of whom I'd never heard, ticks all the obvious boxes: public schools, FT, Guardian, Clinton,... So independent thought has been both bred and trained out of him.

I'm going to wait for the movie, and hope it's not by Oliver Stone!

I just see who is in the minority and/or is the underdog and support them. It is a British thing. I have no mind of my own. (Like Edward Luce, but for different reasons!)

Meanwhile, in what passes for the real world these days, Trump fires McMaster (who wasn't necessarily terrible) as national security adviser and replaces him with, of all people, Bolton. Not, mind you, the Bolton Wanderers, who are good, but John Bolton, about whom little good can be said. Trump may hope that this move will deflect attention from the stock market's reaction to his new tax hikes on US producers and consumers (it will be a lot cheaper to make cars outside of the US with the new steel tariffs - and rafts of consumer goods from China will get more expensive), or the piquant revelations of his extra-marital sex life.
