Here is the green silk and velvet scarf.  I will certainly wear it over the holidays and may shop for a new dress to go with it.

Black or maybe a rich gray velvet or silk if I can find one.

Have they put out the holiday lights at Oxford Circus yet?  Whenever I have been there this time of year, it has been quite beautiful, even from a pagan perspective.

Wallpaper stripping and painting prep tomorrow though, so jeans and an old concert t-shirt, not fine silks and gold....  :D

I saw this advertised

Perfect find - thank you! Looking at the website, they also have wonderful “bark print” silk scarves, so I will order the Newton scarf for myself and one of those for my sister. Probably this one:

Brexit is a mess, but UK fashion design is alive and well!

Weaving two separate fashion threads together, perhaps a black and red dress with holiday cats?

Here’s what I would do - black or dark navy holiday dress and this silk scarf from Liberty of London:

I saw the other thread and the dress is very cute - but one would probably only wear it once or twice...

For dresses especially, I tend to buy monochrome, in very nice fabrics and then accent with scarves or interesting jewelry.

(and if the goal is to work the cat and holiday themes together - can look around and probably find cats and christmas trees, geometric cats in the right colors, etc.)

Another option:

"Cats Prowling in Paisley" - in rich silk velvet.

Cat Scarf - Baba Studio World

Many ways to wear the cat! (not to say "skin" it because that is a horrible expression!) ;)
Good luck with fashion choices - I am going to a wine tasting at a favorite local hangout spot tonight - with my dark green velvet dress ready to go!

Christmas are already switched on around Oxford Circus and in other usual places (only The City looked like mourning after the EU membership last time I visited) :-) Still, it's nothing compared to the bling of American decorations (in Ukraine, thought, they manage to find trees as tall as those in the Rockefeller Center):
This one, 100 ft, was in Kiev:

I definitely don't have that many scarves, but my 3 favourite ones are: a huge Tartan winter scarf bought as an emergency (it's when the weather forecast says it's 10C, but it really is -20C, just all thermometers are wrong), a summer stole from Valentino which I wear like a hijab (I don't think I can be accused of cultural appropriation with this tag), and Alexander McQueen printed in skulls. I dag them out to take photos - I'm trying to wink at you in the last one :-)

PS, I (obviously) have a blouse with that Stella McCartney print! I wear it for my most serious presentations :-D

Yes, and getting ready for a season of white lights, balsam trees, and loads of cooking, for sure.

Right now - a cornucopia is laid out in my kitchen and I am getting ready to slice, dice, steam, stew, bake, and roast.

The sound track is this - putting the THC back into Thanksgiving.  ;)

Happy holidays to all!

A cyber-security expert/writer is crashing on my sofa over the next two weekends. We will be writing a report on a project which will save the world and Christmas from the cyber war. I don't want to save people, I only want to save cute animals (and other necessary creatures) :-(

I suspect that he installed a bug in my flat, because he seems to know too much, e.g. that I'm not travelling when he decides to visit or that there will be veggies for dinner, so he has to get some real food in town, or that I'm planning another cat... Anyway, he writes (under a pseudonym) sci-fi novels and stories, which are quite good. He once told me that he uses some things about me or I said under his artistic licence. I'm considering inviting him to the spare room with a shower suit in my new flat so I can provide more inspiration...

I'm the needy one - emotionally, hence all the cats and animals in my life. No human can stand me! :-D
