Gathering music for a new workout Nano and discovered this remix of "In the End" (Linkin Park).

Stunning.
But in the end, it does even matter, every rip and every rep. : )

Enjoy your weekends!

Just don't drive like those suiciders in the yellow car... Warm and windy in London. Time to pack my luggage and get some real winter - Canarias (I'm trying to be more eco-friendly).

(By coincidence I am in the same town I was in exactly one year ago to the day.)

So, now I am at the same lovely restaurant and have ordered the same delicious meal.

Time is indeed circular, at least for a fleeting moment...

It looks a bit sad :-( I'd go to a cat cafe or get a dog and go to a dog friendly restaurant for Valentine's Day.

I guess that is in the eye of the beholder.

This is wonderful after an extremely busy week, now just relaxing surrounded by candlelight.

They were playing Bebel Gilberto and now two guys with acoustic guitars. Sound system is amazing.

If I need anything more exciting than this, I will hotwire a Maserati and go for a joy ride up in the back country!

(Yes, I know how and there is one just outside in the side parking lot. ) :D

It's not the first time you remind me Jordan Baker from Great Gatsby:
"You’re a rotten driver,” I protested. “Either you ought to be more careful, or you oughtn’t to drive at all.”
“I am careful.”
“No, you’re not.”
“Well, other people are,” she said lightly.
“What’s that got to do with it?”
“They’ll keep out of my way,” she insisted. “It takes two to make an accident.”
She's not talking about driving though. Everybody in that book is afraid of love (except for Gatsby) and every word reads so real. FS Fitzgerald is not such a bad writer.

Right now I’m a cross between Kerouac, Eliot, and Hemingway.

And the music is fabulous. : )

Thinking about rugby this morning and by chance my sister sent me this picture of another manly sport!

We went to the Highland Games last fall and we'll rent a lodge in the mountains nearby this time.
Wonderful meeting of the clans, with music, mead, and really big men in kilts throwing cabers and sledge hammers around. :D
The interesting thing is - it's hard to find any good photos of the actual toss. But I can work on that - it's like getting the right shot of a horse jumping - you have to study the scene, take a lot of pictures, and time it in your head too. 1...2...3 - up we go!

I always thought it was foreshadowing. I have only read TGG and it is a truly great book. Perhaps one of the best in the English Language - certainly up there.

Gatsby, Portrait of the Artist, and The Sun Also Rises were among my favorite books in high school.

Catcher was cool, but these left Salinger in the dust.

Still, I do not see the Jordan Baker vis a vis "trackstar" thing at all, but that''s not important.

I am more of a Trickster and a Merry Prankster.  And you know how things were around Ken Kesey!
