I wasn't thinking about that so much - just that a bit of gamma can be a good thing.
But the optimal amount varies wildly - beauty is in the eye of the beholder! :D

A little vacation today. First stop an old mill that is now a large multilevel used bookstore. A few cafes throughout as well.

The view from my chair on the deck:

Enjoy your weekends!

No way. NJ? (The only forest village I've been to in the USA.)

Hehe. Those are very weird guesses.

If I went on vacation to Australia I would post pictures of the outback - wallabys, koala bears, scary snakes...

And as for New Jersey, the only place I have ever stopped has been Princeton.

Then I have shown you pictures of the university, the grounds of the Institute for Advanced Study, and a funny Einstein t-shirt.

This is a region with varied terrain: forests, fields, rivers, even some small mountains.

Also a fair amount of small scale agriculture.

And New Agers/hippies.

Very picturesque. If I could choose a place to live just based on the scenery, it would be the woods in  Washington state.

That one is very recent. I have been looking through old photos too - digital and physical. Some would be good paintings and other could be nice printed in larger formats.

Besides landscapes in this region, and select sporting events here, the best images are from Iceland, Scotland, Switzerland, and France (Cannes).

There is a small list of places I still want to see: Ireland, Provence, and Tuscany.

Maybe Montana and Wyoming.

No crazy 20 hour flights to Australia (or South Africa!), but 6-8 hours is nothing! :)

Tuscany in early spring is wonderful. You might like Croatia too, I think.

Good to know - I will put Croatia on the list.

There are a few others too - I would go back to Hungary for the gulyásleves alone! :D

Antarctica is the most exotic on the full list - I'd happily make an exception to my < 8 hour flight preference in that case.

But then again, maybe tourists/eco-tourists should not go, since it causes damage to the area.

Arachnophobia is the fear of spiders.

What are the terms for fear of moths, grasshoppers, and millipedes?
